It's mid-September, and the Northern Lights season is underway in the north! Despite the fact that the thermometer is still showing summer temperatures, it hasn't been an obstacle to seeing the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.

It can be difficult to know when to book your trip if the Northern Lights are your objective. But when it's dark in the evening and at night, the possibilities are there. September to March is Northern Lights season, but Northern Lights outbreaks in April or late August are not uncommon either. You will be able to see the Northern Lights throughout Northern Norway, as long as the weather is clear! However, it is impossible to say in advance which days they will appear and how long the eruption will last. This makes the experience extra spectacular.

With a rental car, you can go Northern Lights hunting wherever you like. But remember, you should never wave to the Northern Lights with anything white!
